Combine Mods

Hey there, I just checked the Mods and most are really nice. But there's one thing I don't like : I love one mod (Tommig's Mod for exemple) but I want things from another mod too...I wish I could download the two mods and put them in my TPT folder, then I could play and have the elements from the two mods. Or have a screen a the start where I can choose which element/change I want.
'Would be cool for the modders I guess.

Yeah, that's possible. Maybe make only a certain amount of mods that would be compatible with each other?

There's is an issue with that - mods are like two separate games. Combining them would require work to be put in. It would be trivial though...
For example, element number 210 for jacob1's mod is AWSM but element 210 for MaksProg's mod is PRT2. If you combine the mods, which element will stay?
You can though re-assign the ID's for the second mod to make it compatible. That's all it takes. -
This isn't even possible the way mods work right now. You would have to manually copy the changes from one mod and paste them into the other mod's source code, then fix the compatibility issues. This would be almost impossible without github, which not many modders use.

Most elements come from mods anyway. The game is open source anyway, so there will always be stuff added to it. -

I believe LIGH, DEST and a few others were added from a mod.
EDIT:
Yep, things like DESL, COAL, ATMR, PCLN, O2, H2 etc. was from Antbs fork...
