"Could not display powder-sse: There is no application installed for executable files"

Hi there everyone. I'm on Linux Mint 9 (essentially ubuntu 10.04), and I'd like to be able to run powdertoy. I'm on an AMD Athlon XP 2800+ which afaik only has sse, but I cannot launch this program. I downloaded the right zip file, the lin32 one, but it seems like they're built for windows.

Are they, or am I doing it wrong?

EDIT: Whoops, had to set the permissions to make it executable first

What's weird though, is it says it's not compatible with my cpu. I'm sure my cpu said it has sse, so why won't it work?

Older AMD processors do not support SSE, you will have to use "powder" instead.
