Random crashes?

I'm not sure if anyone else has reported this, but I am getting random crashes when opening saves in the powder toy, as well as in the game at times.

Do you have a lot of programs open? Your computer might be out of memory, and tpt tries to get more memory without checking if there is enough left, causing a crash. If this is the problem, my mod fixes this and won't crash for you (it just won't let you open saves or any interfaces). Does it crash when you try and open things like the online save browser or decoration editor?

    Me, too.

I have enough memory and TPT often frezees when i clicked the 'open' button of a save.

On the question about open programs, the crashes occur regardless of how many programs are open. I have not tried the online save browser. Also, it just had a crash while I was looking at the front page, without clicking on a save.

It might be something with your computer, but I don't know what. I never have any crashes, and only occasionally get a freeze when exiting out of the save browser . I guess I don't know what the problem is then.
(By online save browser I did mean the front page, since you can also browse your saves and stamps offline)

What sort of crash is it? Does the game freeze, if so, how long for? Does it just exit completely? do you get a "This Program has stopped working" message?

If the game suddenly closes, your computer probably ran out of "virtual memory". Maybe, closing some applications would help.

It just freezes, and if I click on it to get it ro respond, it sometimes gives me an apphang error.

With my Ubuntu, it just freezes and can not be closed with the X, but it has to be 'shot down' with the Systemmonitor.

If it would not response, then Ubuntu would recognize that, but it just freezes and can't be closed.

With windows, there were this Message 'not responding' and then after a while this 'SDLApp doesn't work anymore. What do you want do to?' -Thing.

This happens often, if there is not enough internet bandwidth (Ok, I have only 50kb/s in total) and often save-thumbnails are not loaded.

There should be an internet timeout, so TPT can response again after the timeout.
