I've rarely had a chance to use my laptop in the past week and a half and today was the first day I got to really get back on powder toy and see what new saves have been posted, but while looking at my own, I've noticed that a lot of my saves have received 1,2,3, or even 4 downvotes since i left even though I haven't been republishing them for votes. One of them that has received 2 downvotes, is even a private save and shouldn't have any changes in votes at all. I doubt that its just a coincidence and was wonderin if anyone had any idea of what could've caused this. I'm just curious abt where the downvotes might've come from and am not askin to get my votes back.

Uhhh, even if a save is private (i think), people can still vote up or down. Also, if people know the Save ID, they can access the given save, even if it's private.

The vote cache or somesuch got reset I think server-side, so the automatic +1 votes some people had poofed. I think.

I only got these "downvotes" on saves made after it was introduced and saves with no downvotes lost a vote. And some of my saves had massive downvote changes like -5 or something like that.

Same here! My mort with 7 votes went to 5, and all my 4s went to 3s, my ones I posted with the +1 didn't lose anything! And all my new ones without the plus 1 lose a vote when I post them!

And all these were normal the other day!

Any votes made by banned accounts were removed yesterday

so the vote that you got might have been made by banned users and removed yesterday.

so it was probably either that banned accounts made the votes or that they lost votes when the vote cache got reset? ok, good to know. For a second there, I thought that I had been seriously trolled
