Hey Battlefielders, this is a thread I wanted to make because I wanted to see people sharing their ideas, tactics and loadouts. The main focus is to gain knowledge and become better at BF3. Remember, it's not all about KDR, it's about becoming better at team work and strategies. So, just share your thoughts and tips.
Just a side note: No flaming on other games please. All games are created for different demographics.

So these are some of the tings to talk about
    Favourite Class
    Favourite Weapon
    Favourite Map
    Tactics for your map

    Tips for others

I find on Operation Métro, when the cluster-funk battle of the ticket hall begins, presuming you are American, rush up the escalators. Now, everyone has at least once gotten killed on their way up these, but with careful team work, you can do it. Gain a few team members and assault the stairs to the left. By doing this, you draw fire away from your team on the escalators. You’ll want to fire a few smoke grenades off from the escalator AND the stairs, so the enemy can't see your next tactical move. Now you rush from the escalator. Don't stop. Keep moving until you are behind the pillar. Get a few Support and Assault players to place some ammo and med-kits, you'll need these. Now, you'll need to pay back your other team on the stairs, peak out onto the left side of the pillar and creep forwards to the chairs. A few will stay behind for a mobile spawn point. By this time, if done fast enough, the smoke should clear and it should seem if nothing new has happened. You'll want a few LMGs to start firing to suppress anyone with enough balls to move. Set yourself up behind the chairs with a few med kits and ammo and start killing them. Your team on the stairs can now move into the lockers and claim it as they are distracted and suppressed. All that remains now is to sweep forwards and clear the area. You may even want to fire smoke grenades into the lockers, but be wary.

I suggest using team flak and team sprint as specialisations.
I guess any weapon you prefer will do, as long as your a comfortable with it and know it's strengths

BF3? Haven't tried the PC version, my machine wouldn't probably play it at all, have tried Xbox demo of it, didn't like, so I just stick with my awesome BF1942 and all (every single one of them.) its mods.

I think that BF3 has turned too much into online play, which I never found out fun, expect LAN play with my friends / family members. Also, the actual gameplay seemed to be more realistic in BF1942 Desert Combat. In BF3 I wasn't able to stay alive for 5 minutes, because demo map had cool graphics, but very bad landscape for combat, nothing where to hide, nothing where to climb and snipe everyone, and stealing other teams flag is just stupid, I like earlier system, where team has tickets, if team has less than half of control spawning points, they rapidly lose their tickets, and you also loose a ticket when player in your team dies. Team which tickets reach zero first loose the game. That system allows longer games, more strategizing, and just better playing experience for me.

You do know jenn, that that is in BF3 Right? It's actually excactly what you wrote XD

Pardon my ignorance... but ... do you mean capping the objective (Spawn Points)?

Xbox demo I tried based on capturing the flag from enemy main base and moving it to own teams base, afair. Glad to hear old system is there, but I didn't found it from the demo.

Hmmm :/ I have never heard of a demo for BF3. Was it online play or AI?

But Jenn, I don't want to sound like a fan boy but, BF3 is one of those games you just need to have.

It was online. Available at Xbox store, I think. I don't have Xbox, but my friend has, and he had that BF3 demo. And no, I don't play nearly at all anymore, so I it would make sense to buy games.

I really want to get the "Ultimate Pack". It has 10 new guns and vehicles I believe. I'm sure it has armored kill and all the new DLC. I am really digging the trailer! Especially the Ziba tower one. Any gun preferences? Just tell me it's not the USAS-12 well, atleast, not before the patch :D
