Indeed. It was a problem I and many others I know experienced in primary school, however in high school, the assumption is much worse if you don't socialise with the opposite gender.

1. today i was talking with my female friend, and a guy walks past and whispers in my ear "nice girl friend bro"...
2. i was with the girl i plead for (lol plead :P) a while back when we met (2 years ago :P) and i was fooling around with her, we were throwing balls at each other in a ball pit, then her brother starts chanting "[me] and [Her] sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G"
