It stands for Internet Relayed Cabbage^{Very Funny Lockheedmartin}, and it's used to chat in groups while using minimum bandwidth. It doesn't require a client and can be used with any OS.

Got "1337 h4x0red", I guess

What we use irc for is mainly having general tpt conversations and but of course getting our groups together to discuss things. I personally have 3 channels that i go to. #powder which is the channel for powder toy #powdersim which is the channel for the mod that a few of us are doing and #powder-social which is where we socialize.
