My guess it's so is because on PC version, you scroll the mouse wheel and doing swiping up or down while holding down a finger kind of recreates it?

The volume keys are actually remapped to the bracket keys [ ], which control the cursor in large increments in the PC game. Nothing is mapped to the scrollwheel for finer control, but that new control that @Asillyguywhoiscool discovered seems to be sending scrollwheel events, for more precise control.

These are all the hardware key remappings I have set:
    DPAD_CENTER/SEARCH - RETURN
    VOLUMEUP - RIGHTBRACKET
    VOLUMEDOWN - LEFTBRACKET
    MENU - SPACE
    BACK - ESCAPE

Been ages since I had a phone with the menu key but those phones could have a secret hardware pause / unpause button with it.

The thing is I've been doing this since 2022 before I even knew what the radioactive tab did,and I only used c4 and dest thinking they were the strongest thing in the game.
