Ok, don't get me wrong, I love the Powder Toy and I enjoy the intricate and fun creations that players make ut I was on one save that said "this has been extended to saves that 'thank' their voters" and i am very confused as to what harm to the community someone being greatful could do.

Right now it says "If you want to thank people for the votes they have given, that can be a small note in the description or comments, but don't make it excessive either". Just don't make it excessive or put it in the save and you should be fine. We still have a lot of rules against asking for votes, so usually mentioning votes is a bad idea. If you want to thank people for front page, that should be fine as long as it isn't large or excessive (comments are best).
There used to be major issues where like half of saves were asking for votes and showing giant arrows pointing to the upvote button. That's why we have the rules against it, we don't want that to happen again. It isn't as much of an issue anymore so the rules are relaxed, but the vote rule is still there.
@tmo97(View Post) Mods don't put saves on front page, if that is what you think. They are automatically selected based on how many votes they have in some period of time. Not sure why you think we would put saves on there that break our rules anyway, lol.
Also the "crappy" saves aren't really a problem, they are just a fact of life and will always happen. Removing them would make a lot of people angry, and not allow them to get any feedback on why the save is bad. If these saves ever get front page, they are quickly downvoted off anyway. So they don't take up any slots.
