I havn't been on Powder Toy for long, so plz don't rage if i'm positively wrong wrong wrong...buuuutttt...
I think that maybe the 'General' thread should be deleted and replaced with a new one about powder toy and not just random things. The reason for this is that there is (from what i've seen in the little time i've been on the forums) little posts on the 'general' thread except for word games and such that get spamed. Another reason for this is that there is hardly stuff to talk about powder toy that isn't either your creations, feedback or help. Who agrees?

So what you're saying is that the "Everything else" section should be deleted, the place for threads like the IRC quote thread, community Minecraft server, various userscripts and enhancements to the site, and other stuff that makes this forum a community rather than a helpdesk and advertising space for TPT?

As I said, I'm new to TPT forums and I don't fully understand the need for the 'General' thread like we have now. However I'll take you word for it that minecraft server advertising is an important part of TPT.
But why not still have a proper 'General' Thread about tpt, and change the current general thread's name to...say...'Off Topic'.

I'd rather just fix the general subforum instead of replacing it (with what, another 'general' subforum with more rules?)
I try to lock any threads that I don't find interesting or go too far from TPT. Yesterday was april fool's so I allowed some new threads to stay ... prepare for more locks soon :) -

He was on IRC a few weeks ago. But other than that he's been inactive. He has not poked his head out of the clouds yet, anytime soon? unlikely.

1 - The little description below the 'General' link says: "Topics that are not related to The Powder Toy should go here. Common sense and etiquette still applies."
2 - Really? As boxmein pointed out, it's mainly advertising, spam games and other un-important random stuff.
3 - No it's not...check above. If you want general conversation, go to facebook or twitter
4 - Point taken, but it's still full of the dead remains of useless of topics that have been locked since...2011 - 2012.
5 - Not "removed", just locked. Same as above.

The problem with threads like that they get offtopic easily. Game threads if they're popular enough, chances are they won't get offtopic easily. Also I wish we could lock are own topics... well not really cause a user would lock, his/her thread anytime they wanted too! so I disagree with what I just typed. Also The General Thread Forum should stay.
