Foreign characters on TPT forums

I'm sure that many would agree with me in saying that we should be able to type in characters of different languages on the
TPT forum. I know there are many users on TPT who speak and can type in other characters like those, but are unable to on TPT.

For example, In a conversation with one of my fellow TPT user friends, @Schneumer, I tried to type in chinese to show that I was able to. Unforunately, this is what appeared:

    ?????

I am not the only one that this has appeared for. Schneumer and others have the same thing happening to them. It would be very convienient for this to be possible.

http://tpt.io/.6759 rule one says that "If you don't speak english, use google translate so that others can read what you say". This is probably one of the reasons you can't use unicode, the other being it can be used for spam / really strange text.

There is still a way to use foreign characters, you just have to use a site like this: http://www.unicodetools.com/unicode/convert-to-html.php .

so It's encoded in HTML code...like this?:

    我说中文

EDIT: Awesome! so it does work!

I understand why people wouldn't want unicode then... Oh well, but thanks for the link though!

Another thing, why would passwords strip out odd characters? They're not stored as plain text obviously, no transfer encoding problems either should arise, even if the developers were lazy. It's a really bad and uncontrollable thing to do.
