The community has grown considerably - lots of new users, a few older players are still here though. The game develpment untill quite recently was quite slow, but lots of things have been added since last year. -
Cool, although it seems like there's a bit more angst on the forums than when I left? Saying that, I could just be remembering what the community was like through rose tinted glasses.

development wise, Simon made a c++ port of tpt, and so now tpt is in c++. That's why the interface looks much different and some old bugs are fixed. Except for months after it was finally released last September/October (?) it was extremely buggy. I've fixed a ton of bugs so I would say it's pretty good now, but there's still some things I want to do. Although I work on my mod / play minecraft instead a lot too ... also i'm an official developer now that can push to the repo, I guess that changed.
On the forum there are many new users you probably won't recognize, maybe a few you won't even like. In game things are a bit different too, but you will probably get used to all the differences soon. -
Cheers for the summary. I think I was here when some of the initial test releases of c++ TPT were released, and I think I remember you before you were a Dev, so well done on that one. Any key in-game differences I should know about?

No insert mode, the user interface is completely rewritten, UI is much much better
Aside from that, as a not-developer, you probably don't have much else important to worry about :)
