I opened my TPT and it said "Big Brother is watching you" in the news text above. In case you don't understand that reference, it is from a book called 1984. Its about a totalitarian society where the government watches everything you do. Their "Uncle Sam" is called Big Brother. His quote: Big Brother is watching. It means that the government sees your every movment. Scary, ehh?
Well I definitly think it is. Fortionetly for us, we live in democratic and free societies (As far as I know) and something like this is far from happening. But when I see a reference to Big Brother on a video game, I want to quit. This is something that's too outrageous. All i'm asking is "How much can TPT spy on you." If it isn't that much, then "Why can't you take that message down?"
Completely agree with Hatter. That message is a little bit disconcerting. I guess the MOTD is probably in humor. Humor that is impossible to detect in such a short message. However, it creates a lot of room for a paranoid mind to run around in. Personally, I believe if you're not paranoid, then you're probably not paying enough attention. Just my opinion.
Ooh, can I have a link to the MOTD? :D
Why is the small quote thing so scary? I don't take it seriously, and you can' seriously be thinking of taking "Big Brother is Watching You" down!? It is just a little thing that the powder toy do for fun; to get you to check the front page. (Could someone post the whole list please?) I particularly like "shinanigans". PS what does MOTD stand for - m*** Of The Day or something?
Do you know anything about website administration? Every website and game dives right into your profile. It's common practice and the fact is, most countries are not democratic. Most are a constitutional republic. United States, France, etc.
It's a joke. We're not spreading communism or causing people to cheer on large government.
MOTD stands for "Message of the Day"
