    @nmd is right.

     

    try setting the wallpaper as a windows blue screen of death. when the first see it they (for about half a second) will freak out. :)

    I've always wanted to do this with someone. use the printscreen button to take a picture of their desktop with everything on it. Set that as their desktop background. Then turn off align icons to grid and drag all the icons to the side of the screen (or just put them in another folder, this way is probably better). Uncheck Lock the taskbar and drag it to the top of the screen with none of it showing (actually this isn't working for me on windows 7 ... maybe put it on the right side and turn on auto hide if that won't work). It will look like everything's there, but they can't click anything.

    I would also recommend ctrl+alt+down arrow for extra effect.

    Rename every single document to the same thing? We do that to anybody who leaves their computer logged in at my school.
