Please, just restore the old stamps and thumbnail system. There is a bug where only my last stamps appear in the stamps menu. And the ridiculously long thumbnail loading time, I really hope its a bug or something and not how it will be from now on. I want to be able to have fun with the game again, with my good ol' stamps.

I don't get the "sample an element" thing. how is that supposed to work?
Just pretend it's not there, middle click (alt click) works the same way. You can also change middle click to something else and use 3 different elements at once.

Mods can see that, I don't know the reason why normal users can't, but maybe it's just better that way to not focus on votes.

I replied in the Official Game Feedback thread, but they aren't gone, and not rendering fire might fix the lag.
I just noticed some weird problems with the new vote bars, maybe they are more glitchy and tell less information. They are completely red when there are almost as many down votes as up, even though it could have +3 total votes. -

Those two aren't actual solutions, much less anything useful you suggested.
The current Powder Toy ran mostly on old code written by Skylark (The original creator of TPT). The new version, TPT++, has been optimised, everything user-interface is made smoother and way better (TPT had a really awful way of handling button clicks, it was based on button X/Y and X2/Y2).
The entire game has been updated, it's now better to create elements, the user interface is smoother and much better to use.
It wasn't a smooth transition. Everything you suggest to be "restored" will have to be re-written if even considered. -

Basically, it is when you alt+click or middle click an element, it replaces what you had under the left click key. It's a quick way to get an element when it's already on-screen.
