Growing Quartz

As of version 83-3-211 beta i've noticed that if you put saltwater in contact with quartz, the quartz will start to grow, a bit like PLNT, but without the need to immersed in saltwater. It consumes the saltwater as it grows. Also workds with powdered quartz
The growth result seems to have a weird heat conductivity, which is also quite slow.
Sorry if this has been posted anywhere else or is working as intended, but i couldn't find any reference to it.

It has been here since a long time. Catelite made a demo save in March 2011, it came out slightly after. -
