I don't think they will change it from fire mode anytime soon. They might keep it to prevent artwork saves or something. Who knows.

There are old element arts, and cracker made art himself. If art is good enough and made out of random elements, it's kept in fp and stuff. The thumbnail simply ruins the vote rate of any kind of art which is accepted, which makes the art in general seem banned..

The fire mode has nothing to do with deco, and as been like that forever. People just seem to be noticing now for some reason. Fire mode is the default view, so that is why saves are drawn with it.

Exactly, and the reason is the following: since people wants art to be noticed on thumbnails too, ends up making elemental art, which includs fire-viewed elements, which when seen with fire mode in a pixel art make the whole art look terrible.

I just said that's not the reason. Saves have always been rendered in fire view, and it has absolutely nothing to do with art saves. If it was changed to nothing view, art saves would look good, but everything else, which is almost always viewed in fire mode, would look worse.

Fire view works 95% of the time, but I have always still wanted a Deco on/off switch for the website.

That would require two of every thumbnail to be saved, and also some more work to make the button work. Also, then people would always pick the option to show deco (and I would just add a deco enabled thumbnail option to my mod, which would actually be nice).

Didn't we already talk about this? But the deco on/off option would only be for the website. That still leaves the 2 of each save issue though.

I'm confused. How did this thread turn into a discussion about thumbnails?o_0
