I'm pretty sure there's a way to tell if you're on the website or not even if you are logged in. After all, many websites do it.

I'm sure this has been suggested before, and while it does actually seem a little useful to me, I think it's an unnecessary luxury. It would be cool if it was implemented, I'm just saying that I doubt that this will be implemented.

there is more than the one "physical" type of stalking...
stalking someones facebook page simply by looking at every post and image and stuff like that, i know a girl did that to me once *blushes* but thats another story for another day..... -
Yeah, Id also like to see this come along with a 'quick chat' so you dont have to press refresh on your conversations to check if something important has come up.

I don't see why this suggestion couldn't be put in. Maybe the people worried about stalkers (Which I think is kinda dumb :P) should have an option for their online/offline thing not to show up to other users.
