The line tool? It uses the same size as the normal brush.
If you use the scroll wheel or [ and ] keys to change the cursor size, any lines drawn will be equally thick.
have you ever scrolled using your mouse in the game? if you scroll up, it increases your brush size, and if you hold shift before drawing, you get a thicker line
Or for minimal thickening/thinning, ( and ) help well.
