A New Element:PRP2, meaning: Property Edit 2.

Ok, this is how PRP2 presents itself: A box (like normal PROP's box) opens up when you select PRP2 from the Special (or tools) menu. It asks you what property you would like to edit, and what to change it to (like changing the ctype to iron) and when you click ok, you click (or click and hold) over which particles you would like to change, which would be a whole lot easier than using normal property edit which is useless for putting the properties on different elements or same elements but not wanting to have the whole group of the same element have the same property. it would also be easier than using console when you don't want to have all the CLNE in TPT cloning IRON (or such).

This doesn't seem to be very different from either the console or the prop tool. Isn't changing materials easy enough? I can't see why this would be very useful, we already have two similar tools to use to do nearly the exact same functions.

I have this exact thing in my mod (find it in the mod section of the forum), the only difference is that mine is called PROP2, but I should probably change the name to this so it fits in the box. It is nice to have both PROP and PROP2, I use both often when testing things, so it obviously does have uses. will try to get it this into the official version sometime, but that might not be for another month.

Actually, this could be used as a sort of "property painter". it would also be better in clone meshes (the little grid-like things) that are needed to clone more than 1 element.

Just yesterday (or was it today?) I did what I said in the post, by renaming PROP2 to PRP2. I never put it into my pull request though. I still think the official version needs it.

Why not extended the PROP we got

    Click with PROP = edit

Shift + drag and ctrl + drag = rectangle/line edit (Like which in your mod)

Shift + ctrl + drag = normal drawing I think? Because PROP edit already do the 'flood fill'

Or, click with PROP = draw

Shift + drag and ctrl + drag = rectangle/line edit

Shift + ctrl + drag = flood fill edit(What the PROP now did)

Actually, I think that might be an even better idea. I never thought about doing that. I'll do it that way instead and remove PRP2 in the next version.

OMG finally! Never again will you have to tediously change the property of each individual pixel.

Anyways, I think it should highlight or outline what's to be edited in some way so that you dont have a cluster of pixels escape your attention and cause confusion later.
