Realistic Option

Perhaps add a selection switch in-game that allows for a certain amount of "realistic" factors to become activated, similar to how Newtonian gravity now works. (Similar in the sense that they would be similar in how they would both be set up and used as a toggle option or something.) I have seen a few threads now discussing more realistic features such as material and its own structural integrity, and the more realistic (refined) version of fission/fusion. Why not combine these when they are all done and turn it into one new selectable feature so that way everyone can get the best of both worlds if they wish to use either? It seems like it would work, the only obstacle would be to first create these features, but based on the progress posted in the threads which inspired me, it seems like most (the ideas) are already half way done.

Thanks for reading, and as always, please leave detailed responses below to further improve this idea.

Haha I have not been on here for about 3 weeks now. Anything that has happened during that time, well, I have not yet heard about it.

I think the realistic setting has been in developement for quite a while now. It's just nobody really talks about it.

There is a realistic mode setting in my mod, which adds things from savask like enthalpy. In the source, you can define REALISTIC to enable it, but I replaced all of those with a realistic variable that can be changed. Savask says that if an option to enable and disable realistic heat is added, then it could cause lag (but I don't notice any major difference).

Also, stress was does by Simon as a test, then forgotten about because the code wasn't that good or something. He said jacksonmj was working on a new version, but he must have forgotten about it too, since he's working on compression right now. Also, There is a better version of fusion, but that is already in the official version. Fusion is going to be changed again soon (hopefully not too much).

That's what I was thinking. The other part of my reasoning for this thread was to subliminally collect information about what has been worked on so far. So your mod has these components to it? I absolutely must download this when my computer pieces arrive.

    Yeah.

    Get over it.

And if you want to ask a question like that do it through a Convo, there is a far greater chance of him getting your message there than he will here. :/

If you go to my mod's download page on github, there is a Mac version compiled by Simon. It's version 14.1 of my mod, so it's a little older, but it still has all the latest realistic heat things in it. I can't remember what Mac versions it runs on.

I read almost every thread on here, there aren't too many.
