Quotes and Laws

In this thread, there are two parts.
    1. The Response Game
You must give an appropriate answer to a Quote or Law given.
You then must ask a new question using a new quote/statement/Law.
Please use italics to show the author and you'll need to use your imagination a little!
Try to keep it short and sweet.

    Example:

Beauty is power; a smile is its sword
    John Ray

Beauty can strike a person, but a smile truly shows them it.

    2. The Guessing Game
You can even post a random quote or law and we'll need to guess the author.
    Simple

Why shouldn't truth be stranger than fiction? Fiction, after all, has to make sense.
    Mark Twain

So answer the previous question, and then use another question?

Truth titillates the imagination far less than fiction.
    Marquis de Sade

If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people ask? Do they get smart just in time to ask questions?

    Yep that's right.

I have met with some of them - very honest fellows, who, with all their stupidity, had a kind of intelligence and an upright good sense, which cannot be the characteristics of fools.
    Giacomo Casanova

A visitor from Mars could easily pick out the civilized nations. They have the best implements of war.
    Herbert V. Prochnow

Also you'll need to use your imagination a little!
