There is a special compilation option for TPT called REALISTIC. It includes heat capacity, some air tweaks and latent heat. Though it's not fully finished (enthalpy table should be filled for more materials), it works, so now you can "enjoy" realistic ice melting, water vaporisation and other state changing processes (if you can compile by yourself, of course).
@therocketeer(View Post) Realistic air isn't finished yet, but now it changes pressure depending on temperature and doesn't conduct heat to vacuum. There are more things planned like ideal gas state law and stuff like that, but they will be done later.
@Darkyhard(View Post) The latent heat thing won't break saves, but things like reactors and stuff, will certainly take longer to get up to tempurature. Obviously, this will not break saves because it is part of the REALISTIC simulation option which is currently being worked on.
So how is this getting on then? I'm ever intregued. It's been a while since the realistic setting was discussed, and I havn't seen any commits related to this on github recently. Sorry if this bump is a little big, but I am just very interested.
