    Spektyte:

So I could state that the new v44 update would immediately crash upon launch.

Uh, TPT is currently in v65.5 (official). It's current version isn't 44. :P

It once was v44, which was almost a year ago... which proves he joined then.

I joined because... My brother introduced me.

Can you please think before you post? Threads asking about our personal info and other stuff are really useless so stop making threads like this. You can get banned for asking personal info if you keep doing the same thing all over AGAIN.

What got me interested waaaaay back in mid '09 is that it had smaller, cleaner and sharper powder particles. It just looked more professional than any other particle physics simulator out there, in fact it still does. The thing I don't get is why it's not more popular than it is. I think it is because of the following things.

    1. It's too similar in name to Powder Game by danball and so when you tell people about it (dumb people anyway) they get the two confused and just end up playing powder game.

    2. Again this deals with how stupid the general population is. They won't download anything because they are too dumb to tell a reputable site from a festering viruspalooza of a website.

    3. Once again dealing with dumb people. From my experience there are many "special' people out there who, once they have it downloaded, never really give it a chance because they find it "confusing" and won't take the time to read any tutorials or help files/pages.

    4. And this is one of the biggest ones: Powder toy just isn't getting it's name out there as well as is could. It's relying mainly on word of mouth and things like StumbleUpon.  That won't cut it. You need to draw in more people than that, the biggest thing that is stopping this from happening on it's own is that if you Google "powder" or "particle sim" in Google Powder Game comes up. And most people will be just barely entertained enough by that to not seek out something better. Even though Powder Game is to Powder Toy what HDD are to SSD it is still more well known and will dominate the "market" (Figure of speech).

Also, JoshinatorKy, there is a rule against bashing Powder Game. Please stop, you're not proving anything.
