    Are you kidding me? A computer guru? You pop in the CD, and select live CD to try it out, or you select install and install it? It's easier than Windows. If you need a "computer guru" then you should be careful when around objects you can choke on.

    Yes, Ubuntu is the most simple version of Linux, and therefore most clunky and slow. (but still 10x faster than Windows)

    I agree in the ubuntu goodness. I don't have ubuntu, but a did, about 2 months ago. (I got a new computer, but I am too lazy to put it back on...)

    You need to get to the BIOS menu to boot from a disk. That is hard to do for someone that doesn't know their computer well enough yet.

    Anyways, I'm back on LAGGY windows.

    Wouldn't it have been easier to have installed while in windows (that is, give it a partition and install it while in windows.)

    Windows may be laggy, but any linux is certainly not recomended if you wish to run any games

    That didn't happen to me... it would have been an error, either by you or most probably within the OS its self... maybe if you had have reinstalled...

    @Knuckl3head (View Post)
    Oh, so you didn't want to install it?
