Singularity in TPT is meant to simulate the radiation and gravitational aspects of the real stuff. Also, singularity creating the planet!?! Singularities are more like volcanoes: they recycle material through catastrophic events.

And as for the creation of the universe. The universe as I believe it is was caused by impurities in an ocean of nothing causing a ripple to go through it. These ripples ripped energy from the nothing. As most of us know, energy cannot be created. As a result there was also the negative to correspond to the positive e.g. protons, electrons. Now they have evened out into a more stable form without destroying each other e.g.atoms.
