Mod suggestion: Mini-toy

I see alot of cities and such, and sometimes want to explode some or set some or fire n stuff like that, but get pissed off when a little ship lighting on fire makes a motherload of a steam cloud.

So I'm thinking someone makes a mod with stuff made realistic on a small scale. As in, for example.

Fire and plasma and coldflame and stufliekdat have lower (natural and spawned) life values, to have smaller flames n stuff.
Water and derivates of water don't make a motherload of steam when vaporized, just a little bit.
Explosives spawn mostly smoke and high air pressure, and a bit of fire instead of just fire.
Particles are heavier, I don't like lava formed from my melting ship floating on the cloud of steam.
    Etc.

Maybe some Lua Script could do it?

When you've written more then 1.5k Lines on a single program, it's never too much

I think to have a lua script for this wouldnt exactly work well...

IF some1 can get it to work i would support it its just that this idea would more or less effect every element so you would need the lua script to be in its self a mod

but with mods your changing most of the elements anyways

tho if any1 does decide to do this ......i want a copy XD it would also shut up some of the ppl yelling that tpt isnt realistic enough , i mean its basically jut having a "more realistic mode" for it and as it would only be a lua script it wouldnt break any saves

......ive changed my mind this is an awesome idea and now we must send the coders out to accomplish it :P

I don't think. It might take like 5 fps off the game, but you could do it.

For the life of me, I cannot replicate what you are speaking of. Unless the little ship is made of sponge that has been filled with water, there is absolutely no way of creating a single particle of steam in any way.
And before you say "I meant to say SMKE" I have tested this as well, the clouds of smoke are very small, and will not even hinder a dust fall that much.
Before you start talking about dima-gords city, beware; I tested this too. In an average DEUT nuke, any steam particles created are blown away by the resulting air velocity and pressure. And the resulting aftermath of the explosion will create steam, but in such a way that it looks more like burning wreckage, giving a neat effect.
    TL;DR, explain your problem more.

I don't care about FPS, I just don't want a fireball the size of Manhattan to emerge from a burning building, and a burning ship at sea makes a motherload of steam, powder toy was made for real scale, I want smaller scale.

@Neospector, I meant a ship at sea, a sea ship, not a spaceship. I melt a ship, and the lava created from it starts floating on the steam and air pressure and whatnot.
