I read about new element suggestions in the feedback and I think it's very annoying. I have read hundreds of times about magnets, gold, silver, ruby etc. I can understand that the people wants them because some of them would make TPT a lot nicer. And magnet is very hard to do, I know. But in one article someone said something about ruby and someone said that it would be just glass with another colour. Everyone can colour glass in red. But... why is this rejected? When it is just a variation of glass, why doesn't anyone go there and makes the new element RUBY, with the properties of glass and maybe another melting point. I think this was a matter of a few minutes. And the more elements are there, the better TPT gets. And I repeat my question again: Why are suggestions like those rejected?
@flo998 Because, as you said yourself, it can be done with another element. We have a limit to how many elements we can have, meaning we don't need useless elements like that.
Use glass with red deco. Simon said that adding countless new elements slows the game down. It's true! And it increases the game's size. Now stop suggesting slight variations.
@flo998(View Post) we are not looking for new elements at the moment. TPT has a limit to how many elements it can have. We are making the game itself better without elements
I'm not the person who wanted ruby and i don't want it. It was just an example. How much elements can TPT have? and when there are no new elements, TPT will get boring and somewhen no one would like it. Maybe ruby is useless. But I read many suggestions that were very interesting. How can TPT get better without new elements?
Functions. New functions. TPT wouldn't be as good as it is without Newtonian gravity, heatsim, pressure/velocity grid, ambient heat grid, login, saving, voting ,commenting and open development.
