I'm talking about explosives, not nuclear reactions. TNT is currantly pointless, it's merely c-4 with less fire. I just want the explosion to generate more pressure. It gives it more uses. Why add an element that is soo similar to existing elements, I cannot see logic. And use deut? Coal miners don't use nuclear fission to blow holes in the ground.

@therocketeer (View Post) TNT seems to let off an explosion that has similar temperature to the TNT at the time of detonation. (EX. if TNT is at 9,000 degree's C when it detonates, then the explosion it lets off will be 9,000 degrees, whereas C4 would be a maximum of 922 degrees no matter what.)

TNT explodes when hot, there is no way to control the detonation of TNT at 9000c, what good is it exploding in your face when you unpause? Also, I'm talking about pressure, not heat. I want (and so does @everyone) TNT to detonate at high pressure, because thats it's implication; all of a sudden, new explosive added to tpt, guessing it's got some umph and turns out it's just... a slightly ambitious fart of an explosion.

TNT detonation does not currently depend on temperature. The issue is that ignition cord only creates a little bit of fire at random positions around itself, so the fire does not always touch the TNT. Try extending the ignition cord a couple of pixels into the block of TNT.

Edit: This seems to work quite reliably:

I thought that the ignition cord converted each pixel of itself into fire, not creating fire around itself.

There is a wiki and a FAQ on this website where you can get generic help like that.

Ignition cord does not convert each pixel of itself into fire because then it'd be exactly like fuse at a lower temp.

Right now, ignition cord is better than fuse in my opinion.

yes, it is on the home page. Where it says "changes for this version". I believe it is also in the wiki.
