Some virus programs are butt-faces and don't like it. Make an exclusion for it in your antivirus.
Also make sure you don't run it in the same folder as your normal powder toy. The file that appears (powder.pref) cannot be cross-used for mods and the normal game. Either delete that or move the 5.0.3Psyence.exe somewhere else

Not because of my anti-virus. I never mentioned anything about an anti-virus anyway.
It crashes because it is not compiled correctly, I am speaking about the version that was posted in the OP of this thread.
I have the Executable in a seperate folder, by itself, and it crashes: "Psyence5.0.3.exe Has Stopped Responding"
EDIT:
When running this on my laptop, my issue seems to be a bit different, when I [try to] open the the mod .exe I do not get a crash message, but instead nothing happens at all; no windows open, no error message appears.
