I'm copying this here from another post: (falling metal, like metal balls, weights, falling anvils of death, etc.)
yea, and since different materials have different weights and densities, you can have a whole slew of materials! some metals previously rejected, might be accepted because it's not just conductivity, there's how fast it falls, how hard it falls, and how fast and strong something has to be to cut through it! (just think, a harpoon gun or hundreds of other possibilities, like real guns, actual rockets, maybe impact sensitive explosive, you can make bullets, bomb factories, rocket launchers! Even a sword smithy! literally hundreds of possibilities!)
--EDIT-- (I'll add some more elements here from time to time, keep an eye on it)
Since there's really long delays between posts, I'm just going to list off some ideas, and why.
1. Lead-very heavy, low melting temp, but very soft and easy to cut through with other materials, no conductivity changes, for any of these
2. Iron-basically metl, just movable, just the same.
3. potassium-extremely soft, easily cut, I don't know the weight, it violently reacts with water.(weaker than rubidium)
4. mercury-low freezing temp, just as conductive as iron, but just a tad thicker than water, maybe bomb trigger?
5. tungsten-high melting temp, rediculously strong, basicly the thing you'd use in an engine, weight unknown
6. aluminum-very light, average melting temp, somewhat soft.
7. Ancr-just something to hold it up if needed, just like mini wall, or diamond.
8. thread/rope-great for pullies, burns just like wood
9. cable-like rope, but stronger and is steel
10. steel-slightly stronger than iron
11. A grab tool, so you can pick up the objects, and handfuls of powder and such
12. some form of movement, like a moter that can make some things like gears spin.
13. Copper-with it's normal properties of weight and density, but mainly suggested for aesthetic perpuses, copper bullets look better than iron ones. =D
also, since in real life most metals are softer and glow when heated, things like iron, steel, tungsten, could glow sorta like fire and get softer before they actually melt, indicators for smithing for fun. It would be even more awesome if you made things like wood, plant, and some electrical things move too, so you can just "drop" a circuit board in a slot, and have houses and building collapse when you hit it in different places! more suggestions the better! =D (wow, longest post I've ever done!^)
did you even read my other ideas... also a black hole forms due to gravitational collapse AKA lots and lots of pressure so much pressure that the protns and and elctrons are crushed together and then the neutrons are crushed... yes its when a star runs out of fuel but as it said in the first post anything too physicsy wont happen...
How is telling about the formation of black holes a suggestion? There's already a thread about black holes in the off-topic posts, ANYWAYS, who supports my idea, though not original, for moving solids? (I really want to make a factory for bullets to shoot stickmen with >=D)
