Rather than just scrubbing existing elements of their names and descriptions (where TPT veterans would probably recognise elements instantly), what if we implemented a system that randomises the properties of elements? All of the important update functions (e.g. FIRE, electronics, SPRK) would remain intact, however the phase transitions will not. You could end up with an 'instance' where psuedo-FIRE melts into psuedo-EXOT at 1000C, or where pressurising DMND will turn its decoration colour to pink then shatter it into BVBR. All of these augmentations to the rules of physics would be stored in a JSON file completely different to a save file that can be applied to any given save, a bit like transporting the structure into a universe in which different laws of Physics apply.

I'am pretty sure new or recent users would get mad. At the fact if The Powder Toy where to do this.

So why don't make this (a) game?

Oh. It'd be interesting mod, quite different than the other mods.

Someone made a element randomizer once: http://starcatcher.us/scripts/#12

It's not very interesting ... maybe you could try and do better things like transitions though.

Also I should work on that script that was posted earlier, but i'm really busy with school this semester ):
