    Vanadium
You should have all the information you need in the thread & others to compile.

If you've got a problem, respond with a clear and concise question.

ohkkkkayyy im a mac user and ive tried the "make powder-x method" and it didnt work for me (i uploaded the errors earlier in this thread) soooo my question is "which files from the "source-required" folder do add to the source folder???"
P.S me and Vanadium have been trying all sorts of methods for a while now and i am getting impatient lol soooo it would be awesome if we could finally do it :D

    thanx from Jake :D

Ok here is what I followed, since installing the other sdl things still didn't work:

    http://www.libsdl.org/release/SDL-1.2.14.tar.gz

Next, open up your console and change to the directory that you downloaded this file to. Probably 'Downloads' in your user folder. Next, type in:

    tar xzf SDL-1.2.14.tar.gz

This will extract all the files into a folder called SDL-1.2.14. Go to this folder by typing:

    cd SDL-1.2.14

There's a configure and a makefile in this folder. You'll have to run both.

    ./configure

It'll check a bunch of stuff. Next, type in:

    make

It'll compile a bunch of stuff. After it's done, you have one more step:

    sudo make install

Now, you can go cd to the folder you downloaded the powder game to, and type in:

    make powder-x

Keep in mind this only made a unix executable, and not a standalone app sadly. I'm still trying to figure that part out.

to make it a .app file, download the powder toy for mac, when you do, control click(right click) Powder.app and click show package contents
click the contents folder, go to the folder called, "MacOS" Go back to the source folder that has the file called "powder-x" that you just made.
back to the MacOS folder, drag the powder-x from the source into the MacOS folder to replace the original. all you have to do is open the powder toy and, YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY! a stand alone application of the mod that you wanted!
