    SSE is not about speed.It means Streaming SIMD Extentions and is for adding new instructions to the processor, which then CAN increase performance. SIMD means "Single Instruction, Multiple Data" and it is a class of computers in Flynn's taxonomy. It describes computers with multiple processing elements that perform the same operation on multiple data simultaneously. Thus, such machines exploit data level parallelism.

    Sse3 runs fastest. I had a slow Intel Atom in a netbook. It was really slow the second I got it. Sse3 ran fastest by 9 fps.
    There are more differences, I know. I didn't say there wasn't.

    I've been using TPT 3 years longer than you have. Sorry, but I know a bit more than you think I do.

    well i don't spend a ton of time on powder toy. i just get on it when i have free time in my computer classes. but for those of you who were kind and helpful thank you. for all you other STFU!!!!!
