    TPT Is licencened, just it is a GPL, Or open sorce, to put it simpily.
    Your computer crashing could be it overheating, check the fan, can you see any dust, if so you may want to open it up and clean the dust out.

    No, the same certificate is used to sign the executable, it only has to be renewed every x years. Generally, the name on the certificate is that of the publisher (Which would be me or HardWIRED)

    Technically you can create your own. Most certificates can be made like SSL. I used MakeCert for testing my own SSL certificates.
