what if you made it's life stock at 500 or so and when plnt or vine or whatever is added the plnt would grow so long as there was water and the dirt and as it grew the life of dirt would decrease and eventually hit zero and would only go back up when the preoperties were changed or there was some clst or watr or some element like that. aslo when it's life hit 0 the plant would not grow or just grow extremely slowly. i also think that if it was added it should have a random colour chance ste on it's tmp like qrtz, one other thing is that for the plnt to grow the dirt and other soil elements around it must be a suitable temp such as 38 if it is to hot the plant would just not grow and if it was too could die and turn into another element such as a dead plant element like yest and dyst and could be brought back to life with the right circumstance of heat temp and watr.
just a few idea's if this was even slightly considered.

Well, catelite mentioned something about shrapnel... I think that would be pretty cool. How would that work though? Once it got enough velocity it would expel a pressure blast when it landed? Would make for realistic explosions I guess. What if something hit it, and to emulate an explosive impact, it gave off particles like embr but with the gas glow? Some other ideas could be its ability to become watered by wet spng or gel and turn a light green on all sides not surrounded by particles? That could solve the growing issue. Also, in the presence of water, it should have the same density (or slightly more, but it sinks slowly) and would behave like a liquid. Perhaps even more interesting could be the ability to absorb liquids and if the density is high enough, have them sink through to the bottom and ooze out, with dirt with a ctype of anything explosive being flammable. There. You have some new and interesting properties for your substance.

Another thought I just had is what if it was just like real DIRT in the sense that it was permeable. what I mean is both the soaking idea, but also that it would let liquids go right through it, but then again I could suggest that for any liquid with any chunked solid like dirt, gravel, sand,etc...
I also like your idea with the explosions with EMBR. What if intead of the gas glow, it would give off the same red-orange glow as fire? Also, with the srapenel idea, what if the shrapenel could set off fires and other explosives around the screen?

yes.. that's basically the main idea of it :) but also have a property of exploding in shrapnels at high temp, setting off other explosives, also creating GLAS
also have the property of making CLAY spread like a normal powder inside of it (not like it usually stacks up in irregular shapes), also slowing down permeability within.
