Would nitrogen, be a minor save breakage or a dangerous save breakage because if didn't make LN2 and NICE  melt you wouldn't have nitrogen breaking saves?

Like when SPNG was fixed for example?

Quite alot of saves broke because of that, but it was a glitch so it was all in the name of perfecting TPT and progress.

For the first time, I actually agree with you. If something is broke it should be fixed, regardless of the consequences. But remember to heed the adage "If it ain't broke don't fix it".

because you are only allowed 3 logins at a time. And i'm not logging in on my phone just to have my login in a bunch of spots invalidated.

that actually didn't break anything, we left a compatibility check. Unless you resaved your save after, in that case it did break because it detected it was from a version after moving sponge was fixed. That was a decision I was against anyway (it was only fixed because of a glitch in GEL, which savask fixed right after), but I guess it doesn't really matter now, it's too late to do anything.

Anyway, I usually do think about broken saves when making changes, but I try to add a compatibility check. People on the forums responding to suggestions shouldn't have to think about it though, that's my job to figure out.

Adding elements won't break saves, but editing their properties will. "Breaking saves" may sound like a lousy and pointles excuse, but it has real consequences. Adding compatibility modes is the only way to stop breaking saves. But there cannot be a compatibile mode for every thing. If compatibile modes are added for only big updates, then it won't raise a problem immediatly, but over time th "big updates" will mass up and we face the same overflow problem. So breaking saves is a fully rational excuse in my opinion and some suggestions, does'nt matter how awsome breakthroughs they are, will have to be put down.
