Your the only person I would trust running the site as a Moderator, besides the original Moderators. Notice how a lot of the Moderators are European though? I don't know if it also requires personal connections too, quite probably.
Even if Simon was an old friend of mine, Catelite would still resent my very being. -

With dev status, you actually can't do anything (anymore, they used to be able to moderate the development forum, but it doesn't work), it's just a symbol. I was made a moderator too after I became a dev. I think all devs are also moderators. Also, I never went on IRC until I became a dev, and only a while later after that.

I have no personal connection to Simon, and also i'm from America.
I was made a developer to show that I understood the code and could answer people's questions/suggestions correctly, and it was after I made another pull request from my mod.
Also, no suggestions made in here are going to have any effect on Simon, he'll make someone a moderator when he wants. -

Not that we imply that we want someone as a mod, it's just general discussion of who would be best. :)
Thanks for the info about dev/mod crud. It seems a pain in the arse.
