    Spybot S&D in safe mode
    CCleaner to get rid of registry entries and maintain your system in general

    Comodo FireWall and Defender if your paranoid.

    And Me... Well I've been trying to get a virus protector on my computer for quite a while now...
    I just can't because :
    1. the virus is freezing the computer
    2. The computer doesn't have enough space(30gb computer)
    3. the computer sometimes does weird things when installing.

    Got your windows cd, re-install but dont just update or fix. FORMAT the drives. If i get anything even one virus i format its just best to be safe. BTW dont worry about tracking cookies. They are pretty harmless.

    He's not r00t3d. There would be alot more hijackers. + He would have hundreds of rogue malware.

    Just because he does not have "alot more hijackers + hundreds of rouge malware" does not mean he is not rooted.

    Many times I have seen clean scans form AV, Malwarebytes and Spybot only to still have a rootkit on the machine.
