I've got some bad news for you. You might want to check you BIOS to see how the drive looks like. My HDD did that too, the 1TB storage one, and BIOS said that it had the capacity of over 4000TB

pull open the case and listen carefully to see if the HDD spins up, if it does then go about usual computer usage. when it stops listen to it again and report what you hear.
