What is IRC for?

    It's usually for TPT discussion and sometime fun. It's quiet at some points because of the time zones, but it's a great place to get help on coding and maybe creations. Simon, Moderators, and other community users are on there multitasking.

    Usually a client which you have to download and install, I'm used to IceChat and the wiki has a guide to it somewhere...

    There are IRC apps for your phone if you have a smart phone. It is a typing based chat system.

    The IRC isn't heavily advertised since having too many people there means bans and chaos usually. :P
