Just some chatting on SPNG, moving kind.

Though it's banned, there's still a way to make moving sponge. set flag=8 and vx,vy you want, then it gets moving __but not in the way you think.Sometimes they will block each other due to the subframe matter.

It's now impossible to save it online as the server NO LONGER accept flags. I'm not calling it back,  but just wonder why we banned such an interesting thing? Since the moving spng can go through gas and liquid UNBLOCKED , it can be used into a lot of devices, even transporting systems.

Plus , my TPT version stuck at 94.1 , with problems connecting with the server at 95.0. It shows like:''HTTP Error 612: SSL: Connect Error'', and redirection won't work .

I guess maybe HTTPS (not HTTP) is not accepted since the update, but my country is using that.Anyone fix the problem? ;P

So moving sponge hasn't existed in maybe 8 years. The interest in this "feature" confuses me.

The reason it happened is because a single property had a value of 0 instead of 1. This meant that SPNG didn't remove all its velocity every frame, like every other solid does. We changed the property back to what it should be, then added the compat flag.

Compatibility flags are never saved, they only are set at runtime. It's always been this way, so there's never been any workarounds to create moving sponge, besides saving it in a very old version of TPT.

If this feature truly has interesting usages (which I doubt), then we should add a new element to do this, instead of relying on a hack.

Also, regarding your 612 error, that means it can't make an SSL connection. Can you check the snapshots and see if they work?

If the snapshots don't work, see this thread for information on how to send us a log file that may explain what is going on.

Snapshot205 is connecting properly .Jesus thanks a lot XD.

Our community has used the old version since the update , and suffered from not getting the LSNS's new feature for a long time.Forget about the sponge ,let make something else.

Awesome to hear! It was very few people who were impacted by the 612 errors in version 95.0. Try to spread the information to anyone who was affected, that they can use the snapshots to connect to the server.

Version 96.0 will be released sometime soon, and will also fix it.
