Here's a aerospike turbojet engine built off of Meawgods aerospike. It includes a recycling turbo system, pressure release valves for shutdown, button start and stop, and the aerospike nosle. All credit goes to Meawgod

you dont need 3d for a good aerospike recreation, and even then, it gets slowed down so much, which is suboptimal, yes it creates thrust, but no its not GOOD thrust, and burning fuel, yeah thats kinda guaranteed thats not an advantage

maybe it isn't how a typical one works, however it is still burning fuel and creating thrust. this is 2D, I did what I could. Also thx for front page.

aerospike works by shooting the exhaust gas diagonally at a spike, so that it goes down
