    a "singularity" is not a thing or a place, but a point in space-time that has effectivly folded into itself to the point where space and time effectivly switch roles, and every thing we know about physics begins to break down, and informaition seems to be deleted (not possible).. A black hole is an astronomical body that can be pinpointed in space and has properties that can be measured..
