    not gonna lie i completely forgot about the existence of metl and just used tung instead since in my mind it was less likely to melt

    You can probably help with the overheating by replacing the TUNG with a different metal. TUNG heats up to very high temperatures when sparked enough; it's intended to emulate incandescent lightbulbs, which heat a tungsten filament to produce light.
