When Android eventually stops being based on my mod, that won't work anymore though. In fact it would be almost impossible to detect in the sim after that, since the sim code would be identical.
I have a save on my profile "jacob1's mod detector" that still works for Android. It's a .tmp property on SWCH that can very easily detect it.

I checked anyway, and it's because in vanilla, DMG has advection set to 0, but in my mod/Android it's 0.6. This property difference dates back to 2012 when I ported DMG to my mod and made a typo. History around this time is murky though. I'll check it more later and fix it in Android.
