I think steam is just working its magic. I havent looked into how this game runs and im no expert but it might be steam pre-compiling "shaders" if TPT used Vulcan or OpenGL. I am probably wrong though. I have a RTX 2060 and Nvidia supposedly "optimizes" games but im not sure if thats doing anything here. (also will there be a way to "cloud" transfer stamps because now I have 3 versions with all different stamps)

Preformance is better on steam. When I filling the screen full of something and letting it run the steam version didn't dip as much in fps (3-4 fps diff from browser version)..

The Steam version has no performance improvements. But I haven't actually checked. It is freshly compiled based on 98.2, and has no code changes, but maybe some change in the compile environment affected it?

RaconTPT: From a few tests it feels like it runs way smoother, its prob cause steam is letting it get more use out of my 2060 but idk. I also am running a 2060 so it in general is faster. Full screen of high life deut took less then half a second to all explode where as on the desktop (non steam) one it took a few seconds. Id say thats a improvment.

Currently writing this through SteamTPT!

MeltedLawnFlamingo: If anything it should be slightly slower, since you need steam running in the background.

Does steam have performance improvements? It really seems like it.
