Adding solids can incur a behaviour almost like the evolution and settling of cellular automaton, and adding even a single pixel to a complex stable configuration can at times incur behaviour similar to a pseudorandom number generator lasting hundreds of iterations before it finds a stable configuration, the behaviour being similar to a sorting algorithm or the action of a subframe computer.
