rest in peace, Arecibo. Im surprised no one does photon disks. if you upvote, I will jump to the ceiling with happiness, if you make a photon disk (with meaningful and not short content), I will clap my hands 3 times and say out loud "Heisenburger"

fun fact: an ad for Doritos was once sent from the Arecibo radio telescope because Doritos sponsored this

Aleneration:if their sun is completely hidden by the dyson swarm/sphere, then it will not be visible, as it will not emit light

If they are 1000 years more advanced than us, even if they are not here, their AI successors should have built a Dyson swarm or something cloaking their sun, which is very visible with our telescope.

Aleneration: yes, but what makes you think that they are not here? It seems to me that they are simply scared to contemplate our idiocy, lol

And 1000 years is short for the history of life on Earth, presumably for life on that planet too, if there is life.

kit237: A signal from 11ly away is extremely improbable for an alien signal. Because if it's an alien species, it should have taken them billions of years to evolve. And if they evolved even 1000 years faster, they should be here by now.
