    @RavenReverie: More or less. You either have to project a moving part outside (like here or in id:2993256 for example, that's the best design of this type I made yet) or utilize the two-directional engine like in id:2995047, which as part of the moving cycle creates a hole in the assembly.

    I'm guessing it's impossible to make something like this with the movement mechanism hidden inside to keep it safe from debris?
